Sweet Sticky Snacks
Crunchy Crack Recipe
This receipe is a mutant combination of 2 of my favourite sweet sticky snacks, crack slice and honey joys. Crunchy Crack is mostly just a crack slice receipe but subsituting the salada crackers for crushed corn flakes. This is my go moreish snack that I bring to work for peoples birthdays or kids parties.
Ingredients

| 7 cups | plain corn flakes | roughly crushed |
| 1 cup | cooking butter | cubed |
| 1 cup | brown sugar | tightly packed |
| 4 tbsp | pure honey | |
| 1 & 1/2 cups | dark chocolate | finely chopped or grated |
| 1 cup | dried fuit or nuts | roughly chopped (optional) |
Method
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line the baking tray with baking paper.
- Add the butter and brown sugar to a small pot over a medium heat. Stiring with a spatula constantly to stop the sugar burning at the bottem of the pot. Once mixute is melted add the honey.
- Bring the mixture to a rolling boil. Turn the heat down to medium to low, boil for 5 minutes stiring intermitantly.
- In a heat safe mixing bowl, add the sugar mixture and corn flask and mix quickly.
- Add the mix to the pre-pared baking sheet and push the mixture into all corners and down into the tray until the base is roughly flat. Bake for 5 minutes.
- After removing from the oven immediately cover in the dark chocolate and leave for a minute, then use the spatual to smooth the chocolate across the base making a smooth coating. If you are adding optional tops then sprinkle these on top now to allow them to lightly sink into the chocolate layer.
- Chill in the fridge for 2-4 hours, break into piece or roughly chop to serve, store in the fridge.
